MATERIAL OVERVIEW

The Material

Amazonite is a blue-green variety of microcline feldspar, recognised for its soft turquoise-to-green colour and naturally uneven tonal variation. Depending on the piece, the material may show pale streaks, cloudy areas, white mineral inclusions, or subtle changes in saturation across the stone.

When carved and polished, these variations remain visible across the finished surface, giving each specimen a distinct distribution of colour and pattern. Differences between pieces are expected and form part of the natural character of the material.
