MATERIAL OVERVIEW

The Material

Black Crazy Lace Agate is a black-to-grey commercial variant of Crazy Lace Agate, with tightly curved lace-like, wavy, eye-shaped, ringed, and irregular bands. Grey-white, charcoal, black, and occasional pale brown or pinkish areas can appear within the pattern.

Polishing produces a smooth bright surface and emphasizes the high-contrast banding across the curves of a carving. Natural fractures, cavities, and thin edges may remain visible and should be handled with care.
