MATERIAL OVERVIEW

The Material

Blue Flower Agate is the commercial name Arcane Skull uses for blue to blue-gray carving material with pale, flower-like, feathered or clouded patterns. Flower Agate describes a visual character rather than a separate mineral species; the name is generally used for patterned chalcedony or agate materials.

White and cream formations contrast with the cooler ground, while translucent areas can give the pattern a sense of depth beneath the polish. Across a skull’s crown, temples and jaw, the balance of pale forms and blue-gray zones changes with the cut, giving each carving a distinct composition.

The trade name alone does not establish the cause of the blue color, treatment status or geographic origin. Evaluate the individual carving through its photographs and available material information.
