MATERIAL OVERVIEW

The Material

Sodalite is typically blue to deep blue and may contain white or pale calcite-rich areas, veins, and cloudy patterning. The distribution of these lighter and darker areas varies naturally across each piece.

Polishing can produce a smooth surface that highlights the contrast between the blue body colour and lighter mineral zones. Natural fractures, inclusions, and thin carved details require careful handling.
