MATERIAL OVERVIEW

The Material

Yellow Chalcedony is a yellow commercial variety of chalcedony, typically pale yellow, honey yellow, or golden yellow and usually translucent. The material can appear relatively even in colour or show soft cloudy and lightly banded variation.

Its fine-grained structure can take a smooth, bright polish. Thinner carved areas may transmit more light, while thicker areas usually appear more saturated in colour.
