A Crown That Refuses Restraint

Prismatic Peak has the delicious excess of a crown grown too tall for its wearer. The skull sits beneath a rising cluster of amethyst points, utterly at home under that improbable weight. We like a mineral specimen that can carry this much theatrical presence.

The Crystal Takes the Throne

The face gives the work its character, but the crown sets the mood: jagged, vertical, and unapologetic. It brings to mind a ruler from a stone-bound fantasy, whose regalia has grown from the same world as its body.

The pale points rise in a loose, uneven crest above the warmer face. Their height gives the little skull a ceremonial bearing without asking the carved features to become more elaborate.

Building a Vertical Rhythm

The compact skull anchors the steep mineral growth above it. Carved brow, cheeks and jaw provide a strong lower structure, allowing the irregular crystal silhouette to dominate. The balance gives height a clear purpose rather than making it an extra flourish.

Letting the Points Lead

The raw terminations remain the most animated part of the outline. Around them, the polished agate supplies a steadier, rounded form. The carving gives the cluster a bearer while allowing the crystal's own geometry to remain exuberant.

The crystal-bearing top overhangs the brow while the jaw gathers into a compact lower form. The anatomy serves the silhouette, providing enough order for the rough upper edge to remain exuberant.

The Stone

Pink Agate, Pale Violet Points

Pinkish-red agate carries the skull below a cluster of pale violet amethyst. Clouded passages and mineral lines give the polished face a weathered character. The different surfaces make the crown feel alive with small changes of light above the quieter weight of the stone.

The cranium contains cloudy red-pink areas and darker fine markings. Above them, the terminations have a cooler, paler appearance, so the crown and face keep different kinds of colour as well as different surfaces.
