A natural cluster of violet amethyst points rises above a polished purple-grey raven skull, creating a crown-like profile. The elongated beak and recessed eye sockets give this sculpture a clearly defined avian form, while the crystal points vary naturally in size, direction, translucency, and color concentration. Their irregular reflective surfaces contrast with the smoother chalcedony-rich matrix of the carved raven skull, bringing together raw mineral growth and precise sculptural form.

The Material

Amethyst Cluster consists of multiple quartz crystals attached to a natural matrix rather than a single solid block. The crystals range from pale lavender to deep violet and vary in size, transparency, density, and orientation; the matrix may include quartz, chalcedony, agate layers, or host rock.

The Sculpture

Hand-carved into the elongated form of a raven skull, the sculpture is defined by a rounded cranium, recessed eye sockets, open nasal structures, and a long tapering beak. Fine carved lines separate the upper and lower beak while preserving a smooth, continuous profile across the polished stone. A discreet drilled opening positioned within the eye socket allows a cord to pass through the carving, transforming the piece from a small sculptural object into a wearable statement pendant.

Form & Meaning

The raven skull combines a recognizable avian structure with a long, minimal silhouette. Ravens have long been associated in art and literature with intelligence, observation, memory, and the boundary between the familiar and the unknown. Carved in natural stone and designed to be worn, the form becomes both a personal object and a study of structure—uniting geological material, animal anatomy, and human interpretation.

One-of-One Commitment & Care

This is the exact sculpture shown in the photographs. Its crystal formation, color distribution, inclusions, and natural matrix belong to this individual stone. Once acquired, this specimen will not be restocked.

Dimensions and weight are measured by hand and may vary slightly from the stated specifications.

Photographs and videos are intended to represent the piece as accurately as possible. Due to lighting conditions and photographic equipment, slight differences in color and tone may occur.

Care: Wipe the polished matrix gently with a clean, dry microfiber cloth. Remove dust between the crystal points with a soft, dry natural-bristle brush or hand-operated air blower. Do not apply cleaning liquids directly to the cluster.

Handling: Support the sculpture beneath its solid carved base and body. Do not lift it by the tapered beak or crystal cluster, and avoid pressure on either projecting area.

Storage: Place it on a stable surface away from shelf edges and objects that may contact the beak or crystal points. Avoid prolonged direct sunlight, which may gradually reduce the color intensity of amethyst.
