The Sculpture
Each pendant is carved from a selected block of natural stone and progressively shaped at miniature scale to define the brow ridge, orbital cavities, nasal opening, cheekbones, teeth, and jawline. Successive stages of grinding and polishing refine the surface while preserving the clarity of the skull’s structure.
A metal bail is fitted at the crown, transforming the carving into a wearable pendant. Because the carving process responds to the characteristics of the individual material, minor variations in proportion and surface detail may occur.
Form & Meaning
The human skull is one of the most enduring symbols in art, associated with mortality, courage, equality, remembrance, and the value of time.
Reduced to a compact pendant, the form becomes personal—a sculptural emblem worn close to the body. Natural stone gives each skull its own color, pattern, and presence, turning a universal symbol into an individual object.
Display & Placement
The Human Skull Pendant is designed to be worn on the included cord as a skull necklace or displayed as a miniature stone carving. When not worn, it can be placed on a jewelry stand, collection tray, bookshelf, or inside a display cabinet alongside other pendants, minerals, and carved objects.
