The Material
Dream Amethyst, also known as Chevron Amethyst, is a banded variety of quartz composed of alternating zones of purple amethyst and white or milky quartz. These zones commonly form V-shaped, zigzag, or layered patterns within the stone. Their direction and spacing vary naturally, so the carving process exposes a different arrangement of violet color, pale quartz, and transitional banding in every piece.
The Sculpture
Hand-carved into a stylized extraterrestrial form, the sculpture is defined by an enlarged, elongated cranium, deeply outlined almond-shaped eyes, and a narrow lower face. The nose and mouth are deliberately reduced, allowing the smooth cranial volume and symmetrical eye structure to dominate the profile. A short integrated neck creates a stable display base, while restrained lines around the temples and ears add definition without interrupting the continuous polished surface.
Form & Meaning
The Alien Skull is an imagined form shaped by modern science fiction and humanity’s enduring curiosity about what may exist beyond the known world. Its enlarged cranium and watchful eyes suggest intelligence, observation, and unfamiliar ways of seeing.
